Sorting

Misty and Clarissa both looked nervous. Misty was the only third-year in the Sorting line. "Frostshard, Misty!" called the Deputy Headmistress, Mariana McLusira, called. "Ravenclaw!" shouted the hat. "Snowcrystal, Clarissa!" called McLusira, the last name on the list was Clarissa's. "Gryffindor!" yelled the hat. Misty ran to the seat next to Dakota, while Clarissa ran to the only empty Gryffindor seat remaining.

Dakota smiled largely when Misty got Ravenclaw, she was so relived that se would have a friend in Ravenclaw. She hugged Misty. Dakota sighed when Clarissa got Griffindor, but smiled and clapped. She was a little sad, she liked that girl.

The headmistress, Malina Marichoni, got to her feet. "Welcome, students, old and new," she said. "Please, I have things to say, but first, let us eat!" Misty did this quite easily. She was starving, she had saved all the candy from the trolley in her pockets. Mostly chocolate frogs and every flavour beans. She grabbed four steaks, and giggled before finishing them in 4 minutes flat.

" Damn Misty, are you planning on eating the plate to?" Dakota laughed before grabbing a roll.

"No, I'm just really hungry," laughed misty. Clearing even more steaks, which magically were replaced, and drinking bottle after bottle of root beer. "Now I'm full," she said, half an hour later.

Dakota was barely on her second roll when Misty finished. " Haha I'm sure you are! Is it even humanly possible to eat that much?"

"Apparently," said Misty. "I wonder if we should try for our Quidditch team? I'm going for seeker. I have a good eye. Also, when we get upstairs and unpack, can you keep a secret?" Misty added in a whisper, just as the headmistress got to her feet again. "Now, as you all know, the Shadow Killer is a true threat. The first since He Who Must Not Be named fell for the last time. But once again, one will rise against him. The Star Avior, she is called. She is here today, and her name is Clarissa Snowcrystal. very well, off to bed now!"
